What We're Looking For

We publish original, well-written recipe content that serves home cooks. Here's what makes a strong submission:

  • Original recipes you've personally tested and made yourself
  • Clear, step-by-step instructions written for beginner to intermediate cooks
  • Articles between 800–2,000 words with proper headings and structure
  • At least 2–3 high-quality, original food photos (minimum 1200px wide)
  • Content that fits one of our categories: Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Dessert, or Appetizers & Sides
  • Helpful tips, substitutions, or storage instructions that add real value
  • Naturally written content — no keyword stuffing or AI-generated fluff

What We Don't Accept

  • Content that has been previously published anywhere else (no reposts)
  • Purely promotional articles or posts focused on selling a product
  • Recipes that require hard-to-find specialty ingredients without accessible alternatives
  • Low-effort posts under 800 words without real substance
  • Content with more than one external link in the body
  • Anything unrelated to food, cooking, or recipes

Submission Guidelines

To keep things consistent and easy to review, please follow these guidelines when preparing your submission:

  • Format: Submit your article as a Google Doc (with sharing enabled) or a plain .docx file
  • Images: Send photos as separate JPG or PNG files, minimum 1200 Ɨ 800px
  • Author bio: Include a short 2–3 sentence bio and a headshot (optional but preferred)
  • Links: You may include one do-follow link to your own website in your author bio
  • Exclusivity: Content must not be published elsewhere for at least 30 days after we publish it
  • Edits: We reserve the right to edit for clarity, style, and SEO without changing the meaning

How to Submit

1

Send a Pitch First

Before writing the full post, email us a short pitch — the recipe idea, why it's a great fit for our readers, and a brief intro about yourself. This saves everyone time if it's not quite right.

2

Wait for Approval

We review all pitches within 5–7 business days. If your idea is a good fit, we'll give you the green light and any specific guidelines for that topic.

3

Write & Submit Your Article

Write your full article following our submission guidelines above. Include your recipe, photos, author bio, and any relevant notes. Send everything to us via the contact form below.

4

Review & Publishing

Our editorial team will review your submission and may suggest minor edits. Once approved, we'll schedule it for publication and notify you when it's live — usually within 2–3 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you pay for guest posts?
We currently do not offer payment for guest contributions. Compensation is in the form of a quality backlink, author credit, and exposure to our audience.

How long does it take to hear back?
We aim to respond to pitches within 5–7 business days and full submissions within 2 weeks. If you haven't heard back after that, feel free to follow up.

Can I submit more than one post?
Absolutely! If your first post performs well and fits our standards, we welcome ongoing contributions. There's no strict limit on how many posts you can submit.

Will you change my recipe?
We may make minor edits for clarity, formatting, and SEO — but we'll never alter the actual recipe without discussing it with you first.
