Ingredients
Method
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). A hot oven is essential for achieving that crispy texture we all crave.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- In a bowl, combine the seasoned or plain breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, add the finely chopped garlic to the extra-virgin olive oil. Dip each piece of chicken into the garlic oil, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Set aside on a plate.
Step 3: Prepare the Potatoes
- In a mixing bowl, toss red-skinned potatoes with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Make sure each piece is well coated. Spread them evenly onto one side of a large sheet pan.
Step 4: Add the Chicken
- Next, arrange the coated chicken on the other side of the pan. There should be plenty of space between the pieces to allow air to circulate for even cooking.
Step 5: Roast
- Pop the sheet pan into the oven and roast for about 20 minutes. You'll start to see golden-brown colors forming.
Step 6: Prepare the Green Beans
- While the chicken and potatoes roast, prepare the green beans. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
Step 7: Add the Green Beans
- After the chicken and potatoes have roasted for those first 20 minutes, pull the sheet pan out. Carefully add the green beans to the pan, spreading them evenly. If you love Parmesan cheese as much as I do, sprinkle some over the beans now.
Step 8: Finishing Touches
- Return the sheet pan to the oven and roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the potatoes are fork-tender.
Step 9: Serve and Enjoy!
- Once it’s done, carefully take it out and let it cool for a minute. Serve right from the pan for a casual family-style meal. Your effort will definitely shine through each plate.
Notes
- Smoked Paprika: This spice adds unique flavors that transform your chicken. If you prefer less smokiness, feel free to stick with sweet or regular paprika.
- Breadcrumbs: For the best crunch factor, go for panko breadcrumbs. If you are gluten-free, there are excellent gluten-free options available.
- Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated always tastes better than the pre-grated bags. It melts beautifully over chicken and veggies.
- Potatoes: Red-skinned potatoes hold their shape well. If you’re looking for alternatives, Yukon golds will work just fine.
- Green Beans: Choosing fresh beans elevates the dish. If you grab frozen, just adjust the cooking time.
